  • Mac Arnold and Plate Full O’ Blues will be joined by USC Upstate’s commercial music group, The Doug 6, for a performance Feb. 2 at 8 p.m. in HPAC.

  • Exhibiting artists include Brock Allen, Eddie Barry, Holly Black, Katelyn Gmerek, Lori Mendiola, Dianna Painter, Sarah Scott and Dana Wilkins.

  • Plans are underway to celebrate Black History Month with a full slate of engaging activities, celebrations, lessons, music and guests. All events are free and open to the public, student body, faculty and staff.

  • Sparty is getting his Mardi Gras on in preparation for Homecoming, scheduled for Feb. 6 – 11, 2012.

Shoestring Players to Hold Auditions For “A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum”

Inspired by the farces of the ancient Roman playwright Plautus, specifically Pseudolus, Miles Gloriosus and Mostellaria, the musical tells the bawdy story of a slave named Pseudolus and his attempts to win his freedom. Auditions are Jan. 31; the play will be performed April 12-14.
