Authors @ Upstate Welcomes Michael Curtis of the Atlantic Monthly

Spartanburg, S.C. —- Many of us think about writing and submitting our work someday. The Authors @ Upstate Visiting Writers Series continues its third year with a dean among America’s editors, Michael Curtis of the Atlantic Monthly. Curtis will speak about “Learning to Live with Rejection” on Wednesday, November 10, 4:00 p.m. in the JM Smith Boardroom of the Health Education Complex on the campus of the University of South Carolina Upstate.

An editor at the Atlantic since 1963, Curtis has also taught writing at Harvard, Cornell, MIT, and Boston University and is now John C. Cobb Professor of Humanities at Wofford College. Of the six anthologies he has edited, the two most recent, God: Stories (2003) and Faith: Stories (2003) will be available for purchase.
