Carter and Three Students Attended Convention of the American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages

Dr. June C. D. Carter (Spanish), Delegate to the Assembly of Delegate, at the 2010 Annual Convention of the American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages:  “Languages: Gateway to Global Communities” in Boston, Mass., November 18-21. As a member of the Executive Boards of the Southern Conference on Language Teaching and the South Carolina Foreign Language Teachers’ Association, she was one of several delegates who participated in the 2010 Assemply of Delegates on Thursday, November 18.  In addition, through a Student Professional Travel Grant provided by the Division of Student Affairs, three of her Spanish senior seminar students were able to attend the conference.  Bethany Clark, Noemí Guerrero, and Chelsi Edwards, Spanish-Education, had the opportunity to attend this conference dedicated to the improvement and expansion of the teaching and learning of all levels of languages from elementary through graduate education.
