7th Annual African American Family History Workshop

Spartanburg Community College’s Tyger River Campus is hosting the 7th Annual African American Family History Workshop on Saturday, February 5.  The event will be held from 8:30 am to 2:00 pm with a free lunch provided at 1:00 pm.  Marquietta L. Goodwine (or Queen Quet), Chieftess of the Gullah/Geechee Nation is the keynote speaker and will address a variety of subjects including: Where to Begin; 25 Pitfalls to Avoid; Local Resources, Internet Resources; Using the Computer to Record and Research; and How to Organize a Family Reunion.  This event is sponsored by the The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and will take place at 1875 East Main Street (Highway 290), Duncan, SC 29334.  To register or for more information call 864-246-6503 or 864-439-8716 or go online at www.aafhw.co.cc.
