Shoestring Players To Perform “A Flea In Her Ear”

Spartanburg, S.C. – The Shoestring Players at the University of South Carolina Upstate will perform George Feydeau’s A Flea In Her Ear on February 24-26 at 8:00 p.m. and February 27 at 3:00 p.m. in the Performing Arts Center.

The play is set in Paris at the turn of the century. Raymonde Chandebise, after years of wedded bliss, begins to doubt the fidelity of her husband, Victor Emmanuel, who suddenly has become sexually inactive. Raymonde is unaware that his behavior is due to a nervous condition. She confides her doubts to her old friend Lucienne, who suggests a trick to test him. What ensues is a mistaken identity plot that leaves the audience in stitches.

The cast includes: Chandler Crawford as Victor Chandebise, Julia Lejuene as Raymonde Chandebise, Townsend Reynolds as Camille Chandebise, Ashley McFadden as Lucienne Homindes de Histangua, Herbert Johnson as Don Carlos Homindes de Histangua, Ben Sickles as Dr. Finache, Mason Manna as Romain Tournel, Madelaine Hoptry as Antoinette, Patric Phillips as Etienne, Daniel Gorski as Ferraillon, Felicia Glidden as Olympia, Shun Wen Cheng as Eugenie, Coe Dantzler as Baptiste, and Michael Mahanes as Rugby.
