Poet and Playwright Cornelius Eady to Visit USC Upstate

Spartanburg, S.C. —-
Poet and playwright Cornelius Eady will deliver a reading of selected works at the Authors @ Upstate Visiting Writers Series in the JM Smith Boardroom of the Health and Education Complex at the University of South Carolina Upstate on Thursday, April 7 at 4:00 p.m. A book signing and reception will follow the reading.

Eady is the author of seven poetry collections, including The Gathering of My Name, nominated for the 1992 Pulitzer Prize. A play, Running Man, was a finalist for the 1993 Pulitzer Prize for drama. A book signing and reception will follow the reading. His visit is made possible by the College Language Association.

The event is free and open to the public. Copies of books may be purchased at the university bookstore. Eady’s visit to the Authors@Upstate series is the last one of the academic year; the series will resume in the fall.
