USC Upstate Theatre Students To Perform This Summer At The Rose Theatre

As part of the University of South Carolina Upstate’s new relationship with the Rose Theatre, the theatre department at USC Upstate has been invited to participate in the 2011 International Youth Festival at the Rose Theatre in Kingston, UK. USC Upstate will stage two productions in England this summer at the festival in July.

Jimm Cox, director of theatre, will direct Paula Vogel’s How I Learned to Drive that will feature USC Upstate students Joelle Gwinn, Daniel Gorski, Chandler Crawford and Julia Lejeune. How I Learned to Drive will have two performances on the Rose Theatre main stage. The performance dates and times are: July 11 at 5:30 pm and July 12 at 7:45 pm.

Lee Neibert, assistant professor of theatre, will direct Maria Irene Fornes’ Mud that will feature Upstate students Ashley Wilson, Mason Manna, and Patric Phillips. Mud will have three performances in the Rose Theatre’s Studio theatre. The performance dates and times are: Wednesday July 13 at 8:30 pm, Friday July 15 at 3:00 pm, and Saturday July 16 at 3:30 pm.
