Spartanburg, S.C. – The University of South Carolina Upstate recently launched a Faculty Focus Web site to highlight research and scholarly initiatives undertaken by its faculty members. Faculty achievements including research, grants, published work, presentations, conferences, etc. are searchable in the database by faculty name or department.  Visit Faculty Focus at http://facultyfocus.uscupstate.edu/.

“We had several goals in mind when developing the Faculty Focus Web site,” said Dr. Marsha Dowell, senior vice chancellor for academic affairs at USC Upstate. “The product has to serve as an on-going means to highlight faculty achievements, assist in recruiting prospective faculty, and elevate and promote the stature of the institution. Once fully-populated with the research and scholarly initiatives of our highly-credentialed faculty members, I trust that all of these goals will be achieved.”

The University of South Carolina Upstate is a comprehensive, public institution located in the Upstate of South Carolina. Among the fastest growing universities in South Carolina, USC Upstate offers more than 40 bachelor’s degree programs in the liberal arts and sciences, business administration, nursing and teacher education, and master’s degrees in education.
