Flu Shot Campaign at Spartanburg Campus, Oct. 12, 13, 19 , 26 & 27

Health Services has scheduled the annual FLU CAMPAIGN for the 2011-2012 academic year on the Spartanburg Campus.  Students and employees may receive the following inactivated injectable vaccines on a fee-for-service basis:

STUDENTS:
Influenza – standard dose (Fluzone®) – $10
(Uninsured students or those who are Medicaid –eligible and under age 19 may qualify for free vaccines under the federal Vaccines for Children (VFC) Program). These doses MUST be given in the Health Services Center.

EMPLOYEES: 
Influenza – standard dose (Fluzone®) – $20
Influenza – high-dose for 65+ yo (Fluzone High-Dose®) – $25

ALL AGES:
Pneumococcal Polysaccharide 23 (Pneumovax®) – $60 — recommended for those with chronic illnesses (such as asthma, diabetes, immunosuppressive disorders, etc.), and adults 65+ yo

All are payable by cash or check only (no credit or debit cards accepted); payable to USC Upstate:

  • Wednesday,  October 12 & Thursday, October 13 from 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM
    Wednesday,  October 19 from 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM  
    (BY APPOINTMENT ONLY – Call 503-5191 to schedule) in the Health Services Center at
    995 University Way (just off the intersection with Valley Falls Road)
  • Wednesday, October 26 & Thursday, October 27 from 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM (No appointment needed) in HEC 1007 & 1018, in the Learning Resource Center on the first floor of the Mary Black School of Nursing  (The Student Nurses’ Association will assist at this location)

All shots are available later (NOT earlier) on other dates/times, BY APPOINTMENT ONLY.
