The USC Upstate annual Moonshine Run, sponsored by Alcohol and Drug Programs and Campus Recreation, is rapidly approaching! The 5K run/1.5 mile walk will be held Thursday, November 10, 2011 at 7:00 p.m. on the USC Upstate campus and is open to all Spartanburg area college students and faculty/staff/affiliates.
The Moonshine Run is free to attend. Prizes will be given for the first place male/female students and faculty/staff/affiliate and t-shirts will be given to all racers who pre-register by November 1. Online registration will be available beginning October 14, 2011.
The primary goal of the Moonshine Run is to challenge students to make an alternative choice to an evening of drinking by running under the moonshine. While this event has traditionally been held solely for the USC Upstate community, this year it is being expanded to include other Spartanburg colleges.
