USC Upstate’s Nonprofit Leadership Alliance (NLA) Student Association took third place in the poster session contest at the American Management/Leadership Institute (AMI) held in Kansas City, Mo. on January 3-6, 2012.

AMI is a part of the national Nonprofit Leadership Alliance organization.  It is the nation’s largest symposium focused specifically on nonprofit sector workforce development preparation.  AMI brought together over 600 students and nearly 300 academic professionals and nonprofit leaders for the purpose of learning, networking, and completion of certification. It is the only national forum of its kind.

The NLA Student Association’s  poster was entitled “Changing Strategies for Nonprofit Fundraising:  The 2012 BMW Charity Pro-Am Collegiate Challenge.”  Participating students were:  Andrea Bonner, Roxanne Bradley, Kathy Buckson, Kyia Chandler, Harley Porter, Kaci Rainey, Camille Reeder, and Stephanie Alfaro.  John Long was the faculty sponsor. More information on the BMW Charity Pro-Am Collegiate Challenge can be found in the fall 2011 issue of the Business Page, George Dean Johnson, Jr. College of Business and Economics newsletter.
