USC Upstate Offers 12 Foreign Languages in Evening Classes

The University of South Carolina Upstate’s World Languages Institute will offer instruction in 12 foreign languages this spring in non-credit, evening courses. Classes start the week of Feb. 13 and run through the week of March 19, meeting once per week on the USC Upstate campus. No foreign language experience is required to register.

Language classes scheduled:

  • Beginning Latin, Mon. 6-7 p.m.
  • Beginning Russian, Mon. 6-7 p.m.
  • Introductory French, Mon. 6-7 p.m.
  • Spanish for Healthcare Personnel, Mon. 6-7 p.m.
  • Beginning Swahili, Mon. 7-8 p.m.
  • Introduction to Irish Gaelic, Tues. 6-7 p.m.
  • Beginning Hebrew (Biblical) – Level 1, Tues. 5-6 p.m.
  • Beginning Hebrew (Biblical) – Level 2, Tues. 6-7 p.m.
  • Beginning Chinese – Level 1, Weds. 5-6 p.m.
  • Beginning Chinese – Level 2, Weds. 6-7 p.m.
  • Beginning Arabic, Weds. 6-7 p.m.
  • Beginning Modern Greek, Thurs. 6-7 p.m.
  • Beginning Ukrainian, Thurs. 6-7 p.m.
  • Introductory German, Thurs. 6-7 p.m.

There is also a Russian Art & Culture Class scheduled for Tuesdays from 5-6 p.m.
