Opportunity Network continues to host the Grad Talk series with a number of graduate school programs in South Carolina. The next Grad Talk will be hosted Wednesday, February 29 in Admin 116 from 10 – 11 a.m. with the College of Charleston.
Grad Talk is a free forum opportunity open to all students, faculty, and staff who plan to seek a Master or Doctoral degree. We have connected with more than five graduate schools in South Carolina to participate in the series. Our purpose for the Grad Talk series is to provide the Upstate community with a valuable experience to receive feedback from the professionals who are directly involved at graduate institutions and to help them realize, with preparation and accurate information, they can make an educated decision regarding their pursuit toward a graduate degree.
Previous recordings of Grad Talks with Winthrop University and the University of South Carolina (Columbia) are available for viewing by contacting the Opportunity Network office at 864-503-5966.
Upcoming Grad Talk sessions will be:
Friday, April 6, 1 p.m., CLC 309 – Clemson University
Friday, April 13, TBA, HEC 2037 – Charleston Southern University
Opportunity Network is a Student Support Services program, made possible by a TRiO grant, funded by the U.S. Department of Education. Our mission is to assist eligible students to stay in college until they successfully complete a baccalaureate degree. We ease the transition from high school to college by providing support students often need. The program offers a wide variety of free services and supplemental programs to help students achieve their academic, career and personal goals, while confronting the challenges of completing a college degree. Our program is designed to assist students who are first generation college students, students with document disabilities, and students who meet certain income guidelines.
