On February 24-25, 2012 Residential Life sponsored a delegation to attend the South Carolina Organization for Resident Education (SCORE).   SCORE strives to bring together all of the RHA organizations in the state to network and share ideas concerning on campus living.  SCORE also provides support to schools who are interested in building an RHA organization.  The organization is comprised of a state board and affiliated colleges and universities.  This year’s conference was hosted at Winthrop University.  The other colleges and universities in attendance at SCORE 2012 were Clemson University, Coker College, Francis Marion University, Newberry College, University of South Carolina, and University of South Carolina Aiken.

Detria Graham, Kayla Underdahl, Brandon Stroud, and Roger Michael represented USC Upstate.  In addition, Detria Graham, RHA president, received the Outstanding Achievement award for rebuilding an inactive RHA organization.  She also was able to get RHA to become active members at the state, regional, and national level.  Furthermore, Brandon Stroud and Roger Michael received the Outstanding Service award for being a part of the SCORE state board.  Below is a picture of USC Upstate’s SCORE 2012 delegation.
