March 30, 2012 at 5:02 pm

Dear USC Upstate Student:

You have been selected to participate in a survey that will help us learn how to provide you with better information about technology services at USC Upstate. The survey is part of the EDUCAUSE Center for Applied Research (ECAR) National Study of Undergraduate Students and Technology, 2012. If you choose to participate, you will be eligible to win either a $50 or $100 gift certificate to Amazon.com! (Details are provided in the survey).  Check your USC Upstate email account for the link to the web-based survey.

USC Upstate is interested in improving student use of information technology in higher education. The results of this survey are very important to us and our goal to improve the student educational experience at USC Upstate. Your participation in the study is voluntary, and your responses will be completely confidential.

From Dean of Students, Laura Puckett-Boler:

At UCS Upstate, we believe that student voices in our planning and decision-making processes matter. We invite you to add YOUR voice to help better understand how to improve information technology at Upstate.”

We encourage you to participate.  Completing the web-based survey should only take about 15 minutes.  Contact Cindy Jennings, Associate Professor and Director of Learning Technologies, at 864-503-5470 or cjennings@uscupstate.edu.
