Dr. Jennifer S. Parker has been accepted to attend the Harvard University Institute for Management and Leadership in Education, June 17-29, 2012. Parker is a professor of psychology and associate dean of the College of Arts and Sciences at the University of South Carolina Upstate.

The MLE program is offered through Harvard’s Graduate School of Education and is designed for experienced administrators who are responsible for thinking strategically about their institutions’ change agendas. Attendees will learn to understand what aspects of institutional mission and culture are critical to future success and how to close the gap between best intentions and what can be realistically accomplished. The institute also serves as a valuable opportunity for mid-career professional assessment and renewal, with time for reflection on leadership strengths and weaknesses with Harvard faculty and accomplished colleagues from across the country and around the world.
