Thursday Afternoon Acting Group To Perform “The Three Bully Goats Griff,” May 12

The University of South Carolina Upstate’s Thursday Afternoon Acting Group (TAAG), will stage two performances of the comedy “The Three Bully Goats Griff” on Saturday, May 12, 2012 in the Studio Theatre of the Humanities and Performing Arts Center. Show times are 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. Tickets are $3 per person and are available by calling (864) 503-5621.

“The Three Bully Goats Griff,” by Patrick Rainville Dorn, is the story about the mean Billy Goat who will not let others cross the bridge to the other side. This story uses a girl who learns she cannot bully others to get her way. By the end of the play Billy realizes she needs to work problems out and share the bridge with everyone. It is a comedy with funny, over the top type characters.

TAAG is comprised of 15 students from area elementary, middle and high schools who come to the USC Upstate campus weekly to study and practice the art of theatre. They are directed by Associate Theatre Professor Rich Robinson.

The cast includes: Chase Vinson, Kelsie McKeown, Casie McKeown, Jorgan Montemayer, Sarah Bowler, Kennedy Roberts, Julia Hess, Julia Baugh, Sarah Drake, Sam Kopf, Harrison McGinnis, Cameron Vinson, Marissa Messamer, Emily Robinson and Hannah Bowler.
