Do you enjoy giving back to others? Have you been on an Alternative Break, Mission Trip, or equivalent? Did you enjoy the experience? Do you want to make an impact during your 2013 Spring Break?

If you answered yes to these questions, then you are an excellent candidate to apply for the 2012-2013 ASB site leader! The Office of Student Life is currently looking for site leaders for an all Greek ASB trip and a student ASB trip.

The mission of the Alternative Spring Break (ASB) program at USC Upstate is to create active citizens who think about and seek solutions to societal problems and continue to contribute to their respective communities as a lifelong process. The Alternative Break program is up to a week-long immersion into different cultural, environmental, and socioeconomic communities across South Carolina and the nation.

Are you looking for a leadership opportunity that allows you to engage with your peers and the community? Consider becoming an Alternative Spring Break Site Leader. What is a site leader and what do they do? This ASB Site Leader Application Flyer has details plus there is additional information on the application form, due by September 4.

ASB site leaders will be responsible identifying and coordinating their trip, assisting with pre-education, and leading the participants while on the trip. In turn for the hard work, site leader’s trip fees will be waived.
