The University of South Carolina Upstate will host its annual New Student Convocation on Wednesday, August 22 at 5:00 p.m. in the G.B. Hodge Center. Dr. Thomas Moore, chancellor at USC Upstate, will deliver the convocation address.

Moore will be joined by approximately 200 faculty dressed in full academic regalia to welcome nearly 1,400 new students to the USC Upstate community.

“This is an important milestone for our newest students, both incoming freshman and transfers, marking the beginning of their college career at USC Upstate,” said Moore. “New Student Convocation is a wonderful event to begin our academic year, especially as we celebrate the introduction of a new class of students into our community of scholars.”
