September 3, 2012 at 1:00 pm

Children will have the opportunity to learn about visual arts while exploring new paths of creativity. They will be involved in standards-based art lessons for six weeks in addition to having the chance to work with some of the University of South Carolina Upstate’s finest art education majors. The art education students will be teaching under the directive of Dr. Mary Lou Hightower.

Classes will be held at the University of South Carolina Upstate Art education lab in the Humanities and Performing Arts Center, room 122. Classes will take place on September 13, 20, 27, and October 4, 11, and 25 from 4:30-5:30 p.m. Children between the ages of 6-12 are invited to attend. The cost for each child is $40.00 for all six lessons and the proceeds will go to the University of South Carolina Upstate’s National Art Education Association.
