Meeting of Women Faculty Collective Set

January 6, 2013 at 9:55 am

The next meeting of the Women Faculty Collective is scheduled from 12 – 1 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 29 in the JM Smith Board Room in the Health Education Complex.

The speakers will be Kathy Dunleavy, CEO and president of the Mary Black Foundation, and Dr. Katharine Gibb, interim dean of the Mary Black School of Nursing. This will be a brown bag lunch meeting, with beverage service provided. The general topic is career advancement and administration.

The Women Faculty Collective (WFC) is a group/program designed to channel wisdom and advice from successful women (mostly in academia, but some from the community) to our junior women faculty members (“junior” indicates full-time tenure-track faculty members who have not yet gone up for tenure and promotion). In addition to this target audience, all women faculty and staff are invited to attend and participate in this networking opportunity.

The WFC communicates informally between meetings on Twitter (#wmnup) and Facebook. If you would like to join the Facebook group, please email me with a request to be added.
