If you want to go to college there are many resources and options available to make that dream a reality. But, if paying for a college education seems to be holding you back from that goal, College Goal SC, a state-wide information resource, will steer you back on track.
College Goal SC will be held on Saturday, February 23, 2013 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 22 locations across South Carolina. One of those locations will be the University of South Carolina Upstate which will host an information session in the Health Education Complex located on North Campus Blvd.
This event is an opportunity for students and parents to get free professional help from financial aid experts with completing their FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) and to gain information about state scholarship programs as well as information about the state’s two- and four-year higher education institutions. The FAFSA is the first step to receiving federal aid, and it is a requirement for most college students who plan to pay for college with the help of grants, work study funds, student loans and scholarships.
