Leisure reading collection available at USC Upstate Library
The Library at the University of South Carolina Upstate has a Leisure Reading collection of books, made possible by generous donations from area public libraries, faculty, staff and community members. Named the Leisure Reading Collection, the 1,500-title set is located on the first floor of the library with titles available for a three week borrowing period.
The collection includes titles from all popular fiction genres, according to Breanne Kirsch, reference librarian, including mystery, thriller, historical fiction, horror, fantasy, science fiction and romance. The collection is organized by author’s last name, and includes works by Tom Clancy, Mary Higgins Clark, Michael Crichton, Clive Cussler, Stephen King, Louis L’Amour, Robert Ludlum, Fern Michaels, James Patterson and Alexander McCall Smith. The collection also includes a small collection of audio books.
Kirsch adds that the library will continue to accept donations for this collection, and welcomes donations of popular non-fiction as well. Donations can be made at the circulation desk on the first floor. The collection is available exclusively for USC Upstate faculty, staff and students.
