National Foreign Language Week at USC Upstate
USC Upstate will be celebrating National Foreign Language Week with two events, organized by the Nu Iota Chapter of Alpha Mu Gamma National Collegiate Foreign Language Honor Society, which are open to the entire campus community.

A Panel Discussion
Wednesday, March 6, 2013 from 12 – 1:30 p.m., Campus Life Center Ballroom
The practical application of world languages and cultures in today’s global society will be addressed by a panel of diverse training, educational backgrounds and career paths. Panelists include Leslie Wiser, Jr., Assistant Chief of Police/Chief of Staff for the Columbia Police Department; Robert Davis, Director of Business Services for ECI Find New Markets, Columbia, SC; Douglas Jackson, instructor of Spanish at USC Upstate; Xuan Zhou, international student from China studying at USC Upstate.

Join Dr. Araceli Hernandez-Laroche, assistant professor of French, for a “taste” of French culture and language through pictures, French speakers, French bread and cheese.
