Women in academic leadership meeting, April 23

April 12, 2013 at 3:50 pm

The “Women in Academic Leadership” group meets three times per semester for a working breakfast or afternoon tea featuring topical discussions, community building, and professional networking. This group was formed by Marsha Dowell in fall 2011 and continues to provide opportunities to reflect on the unique challenges faced by female leaders in our culture, as well as to share tried and true strategies for meeting those challenges successfully. There are currently 17 members. The upcoming meeting, to be held Tuesday, April 23 from 4 – 5 p.m. in CASB 111, will be facilitated by Reid Toth and will focus on selections from Lifting a Ton of Feathers: A Woman’s Guide to Surviving in the Academic World, by Paula Caplan.
