USC Upstate wishes to express its condolences to Ben Williams, the supervisor over our Sports Turf crew. Ben’s mother passed away on Saturday. Visitation is July 15from 6 to 8 p.m. at Stribling Funeral Home in Duncan and services will be held July 16 at Faith Baptist Church in Reidville at 3 p.m.
Elvira “Be Be” Williams
REIDVILLE, SC– Elvira “Be Be” Williams, 64, of 171 Gano Drive, passed away Saturday, July 13, 2013. She was the wife of Ronald “Dean” Williams of the home and the daughter of the late Fortino and Emma Martinez Bocanegra. Ms. Williams was an original member of Faith Baptist Church. She was a third grade teacher and a homemaker.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sons, Benjamin Dean Williams of Chesnee and Daniel Adam Williams of Reidville; a daughter, Emily Kay Desrocher of Reidville; a sister, Soco Velazquez; a brother, Antonio Bocanegra; seven grandchildren, McKenszea and Caraline Williams, Zander and Isabell Desrocher, Brayden, Konner and Jackson Williams, “that was the joy of her world;” a niece, Mayela Rogers; two sisters-n-law, Janice Flora and Kathy Hammett; a special friend, Ruby Cox and her church family at Faith Baptist Church.
Services will be 3:00 pm Tuesday, July 16th at Faith Baptist Church in Reidville with the Rev. Douglas Payne officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Monday, July 15th at Stribling Funeral Home. Interment will be at Westwood Memorial Gardens.
