The University of South Carolina Upstate’s George Dean Johnson, Jr. College of Business and Economics announces that Greg Blake, a leading corporate “edutainer” and motivational speaker, will be the guest speaker at the Wells Fargo Speaker Series event Tuesday, Aug. 6 from 9 a.m. to noon. His presentation is titled, “How to thrive and not just survive in turbulent times.”
At 6 feet 7 inches tall, Blake is known as a larger-than-life “Encouragement Specialist” to organizations, corporations and nonprofits. He has 30 years experience with management teams from diverse organizations and all walks of life. He is the Chief Encouragement Officer (his real title!) for PepWorks International based in Greenville. Blake is raising the spirit and morale of organizations across the country — helping them to become employers of choice, having leaders of choice in these uncertain, challenging and turbulent times.
This special event will be held in the BMW Classroom (Room 150) at the Johnson College, 160 E. Saint John St. in downtown Spartanburg. Tickets must be reserved in advance and they include a box lunch and a presentation booklet. General admission tickets are $25; USC Upstate faculty and staff tickets are $15; Students (with student ID) are free. Registration is required online at www.uscupstate.edu/wellsfargo. This event qualifies for USC Upstate Continuing Education credits for personal development.
