An associate professor at the University of South Carolina Upstate has helped to write the history of the upcountry.
Paul Grady is one of the editor’s of a book released in September, “Recovering the Piedmont Past: Unexplored Moments in Nineteenth Century Upcountry South Carolina History.”

Grady, along with co-editor Melissa Walker, a faculty member at Converse College, will be on hand to launch the book Friday at Hub City Bookshop in downtown Spartanburg. The event begins at 4:30 p.m.
