The Foreign Language Program of the University of South Carolina Upstate will sponsor its annual Reflections Foreign Language Teachers’ Workshop titled “World Languages and Common Core: Partners in 21st Century Literacy Goals” from 8:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. Monday, Feb. 17, 2014 in the CLC Ballroom at USC Upstate.
Participants in the upcoming workshop will examine world languages instructional units in order to identify how these units can reinforce and strengthen the Common Core State Standards for English Language Arts.
The facilitator of the 2014 Workshop is Dr. Donna Clementi, a world languages methods instructor at Lawrence University in Appleton, Wisconsin and national consultant specializing in best practices in world language curriculum, instruction and assessment.
