Classes Begin at Noon Wednesday at Spartanburg, Greenville Campuses

January 28, 2014 at 10:58 pm

Given the current weather conditions, USC Upstate has made the following decisions:

1.      Classes will begin at 12 noon on Wednesday. This includes classes on both Spartanburg and Greenville campuses. If your class begins at 12:25 p.m., that is the first class you should attend.

2.      The Spartanburg campus will open at 8:30 a.m. UNLESS we hear otherwise that Spartanburg County Offices will have a delay in opening. It is possible that this decision will be made early Wednesday morning so staff members should check the USC Upstate webpage for updates.

3.      Greenville County Offices have already delayed opening until 12 noon, which means the Greenville Campus will not open until 12 noon on Wednesday. Greenville staff members are to report to work at 12 noon.

4.      Since many students, faculty and staff commute from various areas of the region, it is imperative that you each use your own judgment in determining if traveling to and from campus will present a safety hazard.

Everyone is encouraged to visit www.uscupstate.edu/weather for important information. Each building has a designated entrance in times of inclement weather to ensure your safety. Please acquaint yourself with those designated entrances.

REMINDER:

  • Nursing students:  Clinical and laboratory experiences will be joined in progress after the opening of the University.
  • Education students: School clinicals will follow the appropriate K-12 school schedules.
