Upstate Opens Homestand Thursday Against Jacksonville

The USC Upstate men’s basketball teams opens a season-long four-game homestand at 7:30 p.m. Thursday when the Spartans host Jacksonville from the Hodge Center.

Upstate has enjoyed a great deal of success thus far at home this season and enters play 5-1 inside the Hodge Center. In addition, the Spartans are outscoring their opponents by 13.7 points and collecting 10.0 more rebounds than their opponents at home.

Upstate and Jacksonville will be meeting on the hardwood for the 13th time when the two teams tipoff Thursday evening. Jacksonville leads Upstate 8-4 in the all-time series that dates back to the 2007-08 season. Upstate has won three of the last four meeting with the Dolphins, which includes a 76-62 win last season in the opening round of the A-Sun Tournament. The Spartans have also won two straight against the Dolphins inside the Hodge Center.
