The USC Upstate men’s basketball team will play its Atlantic Sun home opener at 7 p.m. Thursday when the Spartans welcome Northern Kentucky to the Hodge Center.

Upstate enters play with a 3-1 record at home after turning in a 94-61 victory over North Greenville in its last home game Dec. 31. In their most recent outings, however, the Spartans fell 62-60 in overtime at Mercer before suffering a setback Monday at Kennesaw State.

The Spartans are led on the offensive end by the 17.2 points per game of senior forward Torrey Craig. Craig leads the league in scoring and ranks second in rebounding with 7.0 boards per game. Junior guard Ty Greene ranks sixth in the conference with 14.4 points per game and stands eighth nationally with a 3.1 assist/turnover ratio.
