Pittsburgh capitalized on three fielding errors and scored three unearned runs on its way to a 5-2 victory over USC Upstate Saturday afternoon from Harley Park.

Pittsburgh (4-1) scratched across a run in the top of the second inning to grab the early advantage. Panther shortstop Matt Johnson doubled to right field with one out and came around to score on the following play when Eric Hess reached on an error charged to the Spartan infield.

The Spartans put the finishing touches on their weekend competition Sunday at noon against Butler from Harley Park.
