All films will be shown in the Barrett Room of the Spartanburg County Headquarters Library.
The first film in the series will be “Jewish soldiers in Blue and Gray” from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday Feb. 13. (In the event of inclement weather, this may be rescheduled.)
A brief description of the film: In disproportionate numbers to the population some 10,000 Jews (7,000 Union, 3000 Confederacy) fought in the nation’s bloodiest war. Reviewed are General Grant’s Notorious General Order #11, the role of Judah Bejamin, Jewish spies on both sides of the conflict)
On Sunday, Feb. 16 from 2 to 5 p.m. — Watch the “Broadway Musicals: A Jewish Legacy.”
