Need some nutrition basics?
There’s a lunch and learn event that will help you get a handle on serving sizes, portion control and understanding nutrition facts from 12 to 12:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 6 in the Sansbury Campus Life Center Quiet Room.
The session lead by Katie Howe, health educator, and Mark Fink, assistant director for fitness, will teach you:
- To read and comprehend nutrition facts and labels and to better understand the ingredients list.
- The recommended serving sizes for your age and gender.
- The importance of portion control and timing of meals.
- New nutrition databases and fitness applications available to track your diet and exercise.
