The USC Upstate men’s basketball team puts its three-game winning streak to the test when it wraps up a four-game homestand by hosting Mercer Sunday afternoon at 2 p.m. from the Hodge Center.

Upstate used a late run to win its third consecutive game Friday night in a 65-48 victory over Kennesaw State.

Upstate and Mercer will be meeting on the hardwood for the 14th time when the two teams tipoff Sunday afternoon. Mercer leads Upstate 11-2 in the all-time series that dates back to the 2007-08 season. Mercer has won the last 10 meetings between the two schools, which includes a 62-60 overtime win earlier this year from Hawkins Arena. Upstate will be seeking its first win over Mercer since beating the Bears 93-90 in double overtime on Feb. 26, 2009 in Spartanburg.
