Robinson Named National Player of the Week by College Sports Madness

Coming off a weekend when she hit .643 with three home runs and 10 RBIs, USC Upstate standout centerfielder Shellie Robinson has been named the National Field Player of the Week by College Sports Madness.

Robinson becomes the first softball player in the history of the program to earn a national weekly honor.

Robinson had a tremendous weekend to open the 2014 season. She helped lead Upstate to a perfect 5-0 start with two wins over Virginia and one victory each over Eastern Michigan, Youngstown State and Towson.
