Upstate Downs The Citadel for Third Straight Win

Zac Manuppelli pitched 5.2 innings of scoreless relief and USC Upstate won its third straight game with a 6-2 victory over The Citadel Tuesday afternoon from Harley Park.

Manuppelli scattered four hits and struck out seven to improve to 2-0. Daniel Seeba came on to record the final out of the game to earn the save. The Citadel starter Kevin Connell (0-1) took the loss after allowing three runs on six hits in three innings of work.

Upstate returns to action Friday at 4 p.m. when the Spartans welcome in-state foe Presbyterian to Harley Park.
