Upstate Falls to Presbyterian

Beau Dees pitched seven shutout innings and struck out eight to lead Presbyterian to a 5-1 victory over USC Upstate Friday afternoon from Harley Park.

Dees scattered four hits and didn’t allow a base runner to reach second base until the seventh inning to improve to 2-0 this season. Ethan Wortkoetter picked up the save after working the final 1.1 innings.

USC Upstate returns to action Saturday at 12 p.m. when the Spartans host Pittsburgh from Harley Park.
