robinson_14Spartanburg, S.C. – USC Upstate standout outfielder Shellie Robinson has been named the A-Sun Player of the Week for the second consecutive week after belting four home runs and leading the Spartans to a 5-0 week, including a sweep of A-Sun foe Jacksonville.

Robinson became the first player to win player of the week honors from the A-Sun in back-to-back weeks since Lipscomb’s Mollie Mitchell earned back-to-back weekly honors in 2010.

Robinson has now earned A-Sun Player of the Week honors six times. She owns the most player of the week honors in program history and ranks second all-time overall at Upstate behind the nine A-Sun Pitcher of the Week selections by all-time great Morgan Childers.
