Wofford Rallies for Victory over Upstate

April 22, 2014 at 10:01 pm

Spartanburg, S.C. – Alec Paradowski’s two-run single in the seventh inning lifted Wofford to a 3-2 come-from-behind victory over USC Upstate Wednesday evening from King Field.

Josh Hyman started the rally with a one-out single up the middle to break a streak of 14 straight hitters set down by Upstate starting pitcher Dylan Parker. Shortstop Derek Hirsch followed with a bunt single on the infield before Matt Ramsey followed with a single to left to drive in Hyman with the Terriers’ first run. After a balk moved both runners up one base, Paradowski laced a single just out of the reach of a diving Daniel Fickas to give Wofford the lead.
