The programs are free, but students must RSVP to attend.

Thursday, Sept. 18—Become a Network(ing) Sensation! — 12:10-1:10 p.m. in George 270. (Students in 1 p.m. classes may leave early if necessary.) This session will cover the basics of networking, how to create your own “elevator pitch,” ways to deliver proper introductions, and strategies for working a room with poise and confidence. Monday, Sept. 22—Crafting Your Winning Resume — 3:35-4:45 p.m. in George 250. This session will cover the basics of putting together your winning resume as well as emphasize strategies for getting the attention of prospective employers. Thursday, Sept. 25—Nailing the Interview — 12:10-1:10 p.m. in George 270. (Students in 1 pm class may leave early if necessary.) This session will cover interview preparation, how to answer questions so that you convey sincere interest and enthusiasm, and appropriate ways to follow up with employers. Tuesday, Sept. 30—The Business Professionalism Dinner — 5-8 p.m. at The Piedmont Club. This formal sit-down dinner is FREE to attend but is open only to upper division business students and requires interview attire. Many interviews for positions and graduate programs occur in dining situations, so this session promises to help you handle such occasions with confidence and finesse.
