Thinking About Retirement? Check Out This Two-Night Course

September 29, 2014 at 2:33 pm

Preparing for retirement is probably the single most important financial concern most people have today. Advance preparation may help you avoid surprises.

USC Upstate alumnus, Spencer Metcalf, is the president of Livingstone Wealth Planning and is an investment advisor representative at Voya Financial Partners.

Metcalf will answer many of your questions during a two night class being offered free to USC Upstate employees, their spouses or guest. You must be registered to attend.

Classses will be held on Monday, Oct. 6 and Oct., or Tuesdays, Oct. 7 and Oct. 14, from 6:15-9 p.m. in the University Readiness Center, Room 219.

The class is approximately two hours and 45 minutes long.

So whether you’re just starting a family, getting ready for an empty nest, or retiring this year, advance preparation is essential when planning to live without a steady paycheck. Starting early may help you avoid surprises such as having to add years to your career or having to lower your standard of living.

Good decisions early in life can help you enjoy the retirement lifestyle you desire – but only if you take action! It’s never to soon to start planning for your future.
