USC Upstate Awarded $2.2 Million Grant

The University of South Carolina Upstate has received a $2.2 million U.S. Department of Education grant that administrators say will go a long way in ensuring student success.

The Title III Strengthening Institutions Program (SIP) grant will be distributed over a span of five years, beginning Oct. 1, according to a written statement from the university. The first-year allocation will be $422,888.
