Check out these events happening in and around Spartanburg.

Thursday

Hangar B Ball: 6-10 p.m. at the Spartanburg Downtown Airport. This is a fundraiser for Spartanburg Regional Healthcare System.

Mega Music triva 7 p.m. at Wild Ace in Spartanburg.

College Town Paint Party, 8-10 p.m. at Morgan Square.

Friday

7th Annual Spartanburg Downtown Fashion Show begins at noon at the Spartanburg County Public Library Headquarters. Tickets are $15 at the door.

Paint Our Town Pink – a kick-off event for Breast Cancer Awareness Month, put on your pink and come to Morgan Square from 5:30-8:30 p.m.

Festifall Lantern Tours at Walnut Grove Plantation, 6-9 p.m. Cost is $5. Re-enactors will be stationed throughout the grounds to interpret the experiences of Whigs, Tories, Women, Slaves, and Native Americans during the Revolutionary War. The first tour leaves at 7. Space is limited and reservations are required to participate, so sign up today! An Oyster Roast and Silent Auction will be held held from 6:30-10 p.m.  at The Episcopal Church of the Advent, 141 Advent Street. Tickets are $40 per person. All proceeds will benefit outreach on the local, national and international level. Ticketholders also will receive 15 percent off their purchase the night of the oyster roast at The Advent Shoppe. Tickets may be purchased at the church from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Monday through Friday and and from 8:30-11 a.m. Sunday.

Saturday

Blessing of the Animals from 10 a.m.-12 p.m. at Woodburn Road parking area of the Cottonwood Trail.

The event features music, dancing, toy making, cooking, weaving, woodworking, basketry, candle dipping, and much more! Cost is $10 for ages 18+, $5 for ages 5-17.
