College Sports Madness Names Major All-Conference

USC UpstateOn the heels of one of the best seasons in school history, USC Upstate junior striker Kenzie Major was selected to the College Sports Madness All-Atlantic Sun second team, it was announced by the publication Friday morning.

Major finished the season first on the team and was tied for second in the A-Sun with seven goals, which included three game-winning goals. The Rome, Ga., native now owns the Upstate all-time single season record for goals during the Division I era.

“I am really excited about this honor because I put a lot of work into this season to try and get better and help my team,” Major said. “We are really on our way to doing big things in the near future.”

Major is the second Spartan to be honored this postseason, as Haley Gethin was named to the All-A-Sun second team by the conference coaches on Thursday.
