As conference standings begin to take shape, the USC Upstate women’s soccer team takes to the road for two pivotal league matchups beginning Friday at 7 p.m. at North Florida and concluding Sunday at 2 p.m. at Jacksonville.
The Spartans have earned one point in the conference standings after posting a 1-1 draw earlier in the year against Northern Kentucky and are still in play for a conference tournament berth with four league games remaining.
Upstate enters the weekend coming off one of its best offensive performances of the season, as the Spartans scored two goals Sunday against Stetson. Sophomore Rachel Baylor was responsible for both goals and turned in her first multi-goal game in an Upstate uniform. The Greensboro, N.C., native enters play second on the team with five points.
