USC UpstateCollege Hoops Daily announced Tuesday it has named USC Upstate senior guard Fred Miller to its 2014 Atlantic Sun all-conference team.

The publication announces a midseason all-conference team from each league and bases its selection on performance from the non-conference portion of the schedule.

Miller has started in 12 of the 13 games he has appeared in and helped Upstate to an 11-4 mark and a No. 15 ranking in the College Insider Mid-Major Top 25 poll. Along the way, Miller has played an instrumental role in upset wins at Georgia Tech and Mississippi State to mark the second straight season Upstate has defeated both an ACC and SEC school.

Miller and the 2014-15 Spartans also recently became the first team in school history to post 10 wins before the start of January.

Statistically, Miller ranks eighth in the A-Sun in scoring (12.9 ppg), 14th in rebounding (4.7 rpg), 15th in field goal percentage (.440), third in free throw percentage (.816), 15th in three-point field goal percentage (.373), fourth in assists (3.7 apg), second in steals (2.2 spg), sixth in assist/turnover ratio (1.5) and ninth in minutes (30.5 mpg).

Miller and the Spartans look for their fourth consecutive win Tuesday when Upstate faces UMKC at 8:05 p.m. from Municipal Auditorium.
