The Office of Student Life is pleased to announce the University’s participation in recognizing an outstanding student for the Newman Civic Fellows Award offered by Campus Compact. Please consider nominating a deserving student for this award.
Newman Civic Fellows Award
The Newman Civic Fellows Award honors inspiring Sophomore and Junior student leaders who have demonstrated an investment in finding solutions to the challenges facing communities throughout the country.
Through service, research, and advocacy, Newman Civic Fellows are making the most of their college experiences to better understand themselves, the root causes of social issues, and effective mechanisms for creating lasting change. These students represent the next generation of public problem solvers and civic leaders. They serve as national examples of the role that higher education can—and does—play in building a better world.
Please see the attached document for full award details and visit https://sp.uscupstate.edu/newman/Pages/Newman-Civic-Fellow-Award.aspx to submit an application.
Applications and all related materials should be submitted no later than 3pm on January 30, 2015. Additionally, the Office of Student Life reserves the right to not issue the award if there are not adequate or appropriate submissions received.
