Starling led Upstate offensively as she averaged a double-double of 17 points and 12 rebounds against Lipscomb and Northern Kentucky. She shot 57.1% from the field and added 1.5 steals and 1.0 block per game.
The Sumter, S.C. native began the week by recording 14 points and 13 rebounds to help the Spartans win their first A-Sun game of the season with a 71-68 victory over Lipscomb. Starling logged her sixth double-double of the season while surpassing two career milestones. She became the ninth player in Upstate history to collect 600 career rebounds while passing Kendra Wallace for 16th all-time in scoring.
Last Saturday against Northern Kentucky, Starling recorded a game-high 20 points and 11 rebounds for her 19th career double-double. She also registered two blocks and two steals while shooting 8-of-14 overall.
Starling currently sits third in the A-Sun in rebounding with 9.6 per game and is second on the team in scoring at 12.7 points per contest.
The Spartans travel to Fort Myers, Fla. Thursday night to face Florida Gulf Coast at 7 p.m.
